This house was designed for those seeking something truly special: Whether waking up in a king-size bed with panoramic views, enjoying breakfast on the porch with the morning sun on your face, taking an infusion session in your private sauna, or stargazing at night from the couch by the roaring fireplace—here, inside and outside blur, and the numerous floor-to-ceiling windows bring nature right into the house.
You will experience the perfect symbiosis of Scandinavian minimalism, modern design, and Nordic nature. Nestled in the forests of Bohuslän, set on a hilltop overlooking the nearby lake, our modern tiny house awaits you.
THE LOCATION
The accommodation is nestled in the forest—just under four kilometers from the nearest paved road (yet easily accessible for any standard car via a well-maintained gravel path)—perched on a small hill with lake views, surrounded by birches, spruces, and pines. Around the house, various outdoor seating areas on different levels, a dedicated fire pit, a BBQ grill, and a hammock await you. Inside and out—Swedish nature is always right at your doorstep.
Chanterelles can often be found right outside the door between July and October, and hiking trails through idyllic Scandinavian forest—bursting with mushrooms and blueberries in the summer—start right from the house. A rowing boat on the picturesque lake can be made available upon request.
LIVING & SLEEPING
Even from the bed, you can enjoy a magnificent view over the lake and surrounding nature, and if you like, you can let the morning sunbeams gently wake you up.
The modern kitchen comes fully equipped with a dishwasher, combination oven/microwave, induction cooktop, and fridge-freezer—ready for relaxed cooking experiences after a day in nature.
Everything you need for preparing coffee and tea is provided, and both coffee and tea are available free of charge.
The bathroom features a sauna with expansive views, underfloor heating, and a walk-in rain shower.
The house features Wi-Fi and a stereo sound system to acoustically enhance your living experience.
THE OUTDOOR AREA
The outdoor space centers around a spacious wooden deck that offers the perfect spot for every time of day: facing east for breakfast in the morning, and toward the lake throughout the day, where you can watch the summer sunsets in the evening. In addition, there is a private lookout rock with seating and a fire pit, as well as hammocks strung between the surrounding trees.
A Weber charcoal grill is available.
THE REGION
The area offers endless exciting destinations for day trips:
Situated right on the border between Bohuslän and Dalsland, perhaps the very best of Swedish nature lies right on your doorstep—the breathtaking West Coast with its fjords, thousands of islands, and picturesque coastal villages (Bohuslän), alongside the deep forest and lake wilderness of Dalsland.
Dozens of nature reserves lie in the immediate area, giving both coast lovers and forest or lake enthusiasts endless possibilities for their stay.
Famous Bohuslän coastal towns such as Smögen, Fjällbacka, Hunnebostrand, Lysekil, and Grebbestad can be reached in about 40–50 minutes.
The well-known towns in the heart of Dalsland—Bengtsfors, Billingsfors, Ed, and Dals Långed—as well as the famous Dalsland Canal, are about 60 to 80 minutes away.
Anyone seeking peace and quiet, nature lovers, hikers, anglers, paddlers, climbers, and mushroom foragers will find exactly what they are looking for here. And for those who enjoy a touch of city flair: Oslo and Gothenburg are just about a 2-hour and 1-hour drive away, respectively.
Shops and the train station can be reached in about 10 minutes by car.
